Get Ready to Put Your Dance Foot Forward:Ian Sherwood:

“You know that Silk Soy Milk? The chocolate kind? That’s what his voice sounds like.”

-Shaun Majumder, Comedian

The one who epitomizes magic and oozes charm with his voice is all set to take you in a trance. Be a witness to something never experienced before on the 3rd of March.  His sensational music has won him many accolades across the country. His forte lies in his genre-shifting music and the way he steals the show during his performances. No points for guessing that this soothing voice won him a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Singer of the Year.

The versatility flows in his persona like his music. He is not just a musician but also a storyteller who weaves magic through his music. Being a multi faceted personality, Ian has many accomplishments in his name. He has penned for many artists, theatre, television and shows. His wit is often reflected in his art of storytelling whereas passion for music reverberates in his stage performances.

This dynamic singer, writer, storyteller and an amazing performer who never fails to surprise his fans. When he’s not performing, he spends his time creating magic by composing.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Ian Sherwood truly ‘Brings the Light’ on to the stage. His own style breathes originality and uniqueness. The songs, right from the lyrics to the music are so effortless and please the ears that one can’t help but get captivated by the whole entirety of it. The confluence of acoustic, pop, folk with just a hint of jazz as it has a bit of everything for everyone. If that is not enough and you look forward to a more upbeat kind of music that will get you groovy and tap a foot or two, then you just need to hit on Ian’s music. My personal favourite part about the soulful music of Ian Sherwood is that the lyrics are so relatable that it   makes you nostalgic and overwhelms you in so many ways.
